2023 Jeep Gladiator Engine & Tow Specs
The 2023 Jeep Gladiator comes standard with the legendary 4x4 drivetrain. A 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine is standard on the Gladiator or opt for the heavy-duty 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine. The EcoDiesel engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the Pentastar engine offers a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. For a higher towing capacity, the Pentastar engine is the way to go, with the availability to tow up to 7,700 pounds compared to 6,500 pounds from the EcoDiesel engine.
A Command-Trac® part-time 4x4 system is standard on all trims, and a Trac-Lok® limited-slip rear differential is standard on the Willys Sport and above for added control when off-roading. The available Selec-Speed® control system uses hill ascent and hill descent control for additional confidence when going up or down slopes.
